What you get
Budgie for the desktop. Flatpak for apps. Grok for the rest. No Ubuntu Software, no snap storefront.
Grok first
First screen is sign-in. After that, Super+G is always Desk. Voice is Super+Alt+V. You should never have to hunt for the AI.
Onboarding that repairs
Same chat layout as the daily desk. It scans Wi-Fi, GPU, audio, ThinkPad bits, and offers one-click fixes instead of a wiki page.
AI Browser
Chromium with a #5B8CFF frame so you can tell at a glance which window the agent is driving.
Software
Flathub, as an app. Search, install, open. The website is cached so it feels instant; installs are real flatpak transactions.
A nested display
Desk has its own X11 session. It can browse and click without stealing your mouse. Same idea as the server desktop, local.
Yours to upgrade
The overlay is a git tree. Grok Code bumps Ubuntu LTS by swapping the base ISO and keeping the overlay. Notes live in docs/.
The chat is the installer.
No wizard chrome. Onboarding is a conversation, because that is already how you work.
